HeatBriqs vs Traditional Logs
The difference between traditional firewood and HeatBriqs comes down to efficiency and resource use.
Firewood relies on whole logs and can vary in performance, while HeatBriqs are made from compressed sawmill by-products, so no additional trees are felled purely for fuel.
With higher density and low, consistent moisture, they deliver more usable heat per pack, cleaner combustion, and less waste. A reliable, high-performance fuel for modern stoves, fire pits, hot tubs and saunas.

No additives, binders or glue resulting in a pure clean burn.
Embossed with the RUF stamp
The RUF brand stands for quality. Customers recognise it as a premium briquette that burns hotter, longer, and more consistently.
The Process
Significant investment, careful planning, and thorough research have resulted in an impressive production line that delivers high-quality RUF woodchip briquettes.
Our briquettes are made from 100% wood chips with zero additives!
The chips are dried to a very low moisture level before going through the briquetting process to produce a high density briquette.

Have a question? We are here to help.
Check out the most common questions our customers asked. Still have questions? Contact our customer support.
How quickly will my order be dispatched?
Courier orders placed before 3pm Monday to Friday are dispatched same-day. Orders after 3pm, or on weekends and public holidays, go out the next working day. Pallet orders take 1-3 business days to process.
How long does delivery take?
Once dispatched, courier orders (2-pack) typically arrive within 2-3 working days. Pallet orders are also delivered within 2-3 working days of dispatch via our logistics partner, Cumbria Logistics.
Can I collect my order instead?
Yes — individual packs can be collected from Albie Forestry, Milnfield Sawmill, Annan, DG12 5QP. For pallet collection details, please contact us.
What do I need to know about pallet deliveries?
Pallets are delivered by an 18-26 tonne lorry with a tail-lift. The delivery area must be flat, solid, and accessible to large vehicles — pump trucks can't operate on gravel, grass, or high kerbs. If access is restricted, a 7.5 tonne vehicle may be available on request. Please let us know any access limitations when ordering.
What happens if I miss my delivery?
For courier orders, the driver will leave a card with rearrangement instructions — you can also specify a safe place at checkout. For pallet orders, someone must be available to receive the delivery; if a delivery is missed, redelivery costs will be charged to you.
