- Light the firelighters and allow airflow to encourage a strong flame.
- Allow the briquettes to ignite. Avoid adding too many at this stage.
- Once the briquettes are well lit, add more as needed to maintain a steady long lasting heat.

- Don't overload the fire early on. Briquettes need a bit of space to ignite properly.
